	Established in 1999, Alternative Investment Source LLC (AIS) has a long-term record of effectively managing the fundraising and investor relations process for non-competing top flight funds, specifically those in the emerging manager category. The firm also provides services to fund managers in rounding out/completing a raise.

	AIS focuses on funds in the $125 to $400 million fund size, but is flexible in its assignments. The team has experience representing a broad class of alternative funds including: Distressed debt and buyouts Venture capital, all stages Mezzanine Real Estate SBIC
	The key principal has thirty years' experience with large multi-product firms in marketing both publicly and privately traded investments to a broad network of plan sponsors.
	Scope of Services:
	Utilizing a hands-on, client-tailored approach, the firm concentrates on management of the fundraising process, identification of co-sponsorship opportunities and providing investor relations support programs. Because of the firm’s familiarity with investment preferences of a broad range of institutional investors, AIS is able to effectively and preliminarily gauge the marketability of each client’s fund.
	Value-added consulting and marketing services provided by AIS to facilitate a successful raise include the following elements:

	Providing input on fund strategy, terms and structural issues Developing or refining a fund-specific marketing strategy Strategic positioning of the fund Preparing presentation and marketing materials to capitalize on the fund’s unique aspects Coaching GPs on effective presentations and due diligence materials/meetings Pre-qualifying funds, coordinating/participating in all GP/Advisor meetings; handling all follow up to ensure timely decisions and closings Providing GPs with timely status reports and updates
	Special Assignments:
	AIS performs specialty tasks for fund managers on a retainer or fee basis. The range of programs include:
	Market assessment/pre-fundraise preparation; pitchbook and comprehensive due diligence packets to effectively position GPs conducting a fundraise without agent assistance Complete investor relations programs/services for the purpose of developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective investors
	Investor Base:
	Although AIS has an extensive, well-diversified investor base, the team conducts ongoing research to constantly identify new investors and gauge interest of established investors.
